Warm Springs Reservoir

Warm Springs Reservoir

Warm Spring Reservoir and Dam is a popular fishing spot for warm water game fish such as smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, catfish largemouth bass and bluegill, to the west side of the reservoir and dam. Warm Springs Reservoir is on the Middle Fork of the Malheur River about 13 miles southwest of Juntura. The 4,600 surface acre reservoir lies against the tall, steep hills on the eastern side of a broad valley. Migrating water fowl use the reservoir and it is part of the winter range for mule deer. The area is not heavily used due to sparse vegetation, mainly sage brush. Water skiing may also be enjoyed although the reservoir gets fairly low in late summer.
