Meacham Divide/Mt. Emily Sno-Park

Meacham Divide/Mt. Emily Sno-Park

Located in northeast Oregon at an elevation of 4200’ this is Oregon’s second largest Nordic area. The trail system is over 20 km long and is comprised of eight trails, starting with the Loppet Trail, which has the Roller Coaster, Kansas, Butcher, Tillicum, and Quarry Loops branching from it. Loppet Trail starts at the parking area and ends at Loppet Point (11 km round trip). The first 2.5 kilometers of Loppet Trail is relatively flat, except for Moose Huff Hill, the ski area’s steepest climb. At the far end of Loppet the trail loops back through wider meadows at Loppet Point, which offers a spectacular 20-mile vista.

The Blue Mountain Nordic Club tries to groom the trails regularly, especially for the weekends. All trails are 12 feet wide, with both skating and diagonal lanes. Grooming usually begins in late-November when there is sufficient snow, and continues through March.

A Sno-Park permit is required to use this facility from November through April and can be purchased through the state Department of Motor Vehicles or their vendors. For your safety use Sno-Park areas and do not park along the highway.
