Celebrate the 4th of July with gravel, mountains, and small-town charm at the Halfway to Hell’s Canyon Gravel Festival in Halfway, Oregon. This two-day gravel celebration invites riders of all levels, along with friends and family, to experience the wide-open beauty of northeast Oregon.
Set in the heart of Pine Valley, the festival offers access to hundreds of miles of quiet high-country gravel roads framed by sweeping views of the Wallowa Mountains. Riders can choose from a variety of loop routes ranging from 5 to 40 miles, making it easy to find the right ride whether you’re new to gravel or looking to stretch your legs on longer climbs.
But the weekend is about more than just riding. The festival features a full lineup of activities for riders and non-riders alike, including:
Guided walks and hikes through the valley
Children’s activities and family-friendly fun
A chance to visit the historic gold mining town of Cornucopia and its famous lodge (ride or drive)
Optional side trips to Hells Canyon for one of the most dramatic canyon landscapes in North America
All registered have a breakfast and a lunch barbecue, meals can be purchased too.
There will be prizes, music, and water park items for kids each day. On July 4th they will have decorations for cyclist who want to enter the parade, then everyone heads to the fair grounds for live music, food carts and drinks. Enjoy the spectacular fire works show. It's always a beautiful display.
