It is morning and you are awakened by the smell of fresh coffee, bacon and homemade pancakes. You look out your room window to see a breathtaking view of the Steens Mountain. The Frenchglen Hotel was established in 1916. The eight rooms have a very country feel with thick quilts on the beds.Seven of the rooms have one full-sized bed. There is one room that has a twin and full-sized bed. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am until 9:30 am everyday. Lunch is served from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. Both are opened to guests and anyone going through the town. Dinner is served family style at 6:30 pm and is by reservation only-- seating is limited. Home made dinner rolls are always on the dinner menu and if you're lucky, so is the the hotels famous marionberry cobbler. For guests who are planning a day of exploring, sack lunches are available. Guests can also sit on the screened-in porch and enjoy the gorgeous view.
