Fishtrap Fireside returns with readings from local Wallowa County writers Sebastian Hobbs, Kathryn Kemp, and Nathan Slinker. Fishtrap Fireside is a monthly reading series designed to feature diverse voices of local writers. Each month offers a fresh look at what people of the West are thinking about and writing down. Since the program launched in 2013, more than one hundred Wallowa County writers have stepped up to the podium or logged on virtually to share their work. Audiences have enjoyed a variety of storytelling including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, humor, memoir, sci-fi fantasy, essay, travelog, food stories, comedy, and much more.
Fishtrap offers a variety of online and in-person workshop opportunities throughout the year, from weekend seminars to month-long courses in poetry, fiction, essay, nonfiction, and much more. Writers of all ages and experiences are invited to learn and build connections with the unique community of writers and thinkers that is Fishtrap.
